              Never tried it myself, but I have seen some builds where they paint the ship all black, and control the finish when they put on the top coat. Seems to be some merit in that approach. Derek

                Is there a reason why you didn't paint all the deck stuff before adding the laminate? I would have thought that would make the paint job much simpler.

                  Gern, If you mean the deck laminate, you need to put the laminate on the deck before you put any of the superstructure on, otherwise you can't get the laminate over the superstructure.

                    Th funnels are painted and installed next is the rigging. The shading has come out a lot darker in the photo than it is in reality.[ATTACH]88289.IPB[/ATTACH]

                        Sorry Graham, I didn't make myself clear. I was thinking of all the fiddly little bits (hatches, storage boxes etc) on the decks rather than the superstructure.
