The sub is about 75% complete. Not as much work done today as I was hoping, but nearly there.

A few build photos. Nearly complete. A few pipes to finish. I think I will find a space for that leftover part behind the bulkhead in the POs quarters. After all this is inserted, I will button up the hull halves and finish the exterior paint. Slap on the conning tower, maybe string up a bit of rigging, and call it done.

Thanks Joe! I think I painted more in there than was strictly necessary. I did a test fit of the interior and a lot of those little ceiling lights will be covered by the non visible half of the interior. So will the engine wall details. It's not bad, but it's not great with their spacing throughout. Not only that but the instructions start off being pretty clear, but by the end, they just sort of give up. I just discovered the exhaust pipes don't fit. Instructions show a notch to insert, but there is none on the model. And they simply are not long enough. I will figure out a cheat to fix it with, I'm sure.Comment

the sub is about 90% complete.
All that remains is a bit of finishing to fill out the look, secure the conning tower sail, and slip on some wire. But now I need a new pot of grey paint. The stuff I had been using is calling it quits and I need just a bit more to carry me the rest of the way...Comment

I will place it with U23 and U99. About the only hull(s) I'm lacking are the type IX and the type XXIII. I would like to find a type IX for sure.
I will also put on some completed pics when I am ready to call it such. I fixed up the exterior, now I need apply a bit of detail (and repair some previous detail) and I think I will be happy with it.Comment
