Hi first off thank to Jim, John, Si And Ian for dropping in you are all most wellcome. As Jim & John have said getting the rust is hard to pull it off so if I can achieve something like 50% of what Si does I'll be happy.
I think this kit is a Revell 1/72 Seehund so that is what I'm using as a reference.
At the beging I said I had managed to build one from two wrong, I had alook at Dave Ward's build blog and found that there sould be shields above the torpedos so out with the white card. Had a quick look on the internet and found that the conning tower on the 1/35 version had a lot more detail which the 1/72 is lacking so have added some of these details.
Added missing holes to the top of the conning tower on both subs.
Made missing torpedo shields, will repeat this on the wreck .
Added some rivets to the side of the conning tower, will repeat this on the wreck .:rolling:
Hope you like the upgrades.

Hi Pete, great upgrades, look superb and to scale, easy to sometimes over do or get the sizing wrong.
Have uploaded a few images of me rusting things, including my first and second sunken uboats, may give you some ideas.Attached Files- 14238135_1086561704762248_7972412409523461503_n.jpg (3.6 KB, 3 views)

The base for the sunken one looks great, something to see instead of just flat, nice work.Comment
