I have news on Polly, he's just bought a Fairey Sword Fish , so keep a look out ! .

Grp. Capt. (Ret) 453 Race. Thank you. Like my old chisels, I could tell which claw hammer was mine just by feeling the shaft!..... :flushed:...:smirk::thumb2:

...also, if you think for one minute being threatened by a poxy parrot intent on bombing us with a bottle of washing up liquid named after a stupid fish is going to frighten us tough submariners, think again!

    Your Servant.

I've just spent a very pleasant couple of hours assembling and painting the twin 20mm weapons.
The instructions would have you fixing these before the safety rails. That seems daft to me so I intend to fix the rails first.

Just for show here are all the weapons loose fitted to their respective platforms. The 20mm shoulder braces are yet to be fixed. I snapped both trying to remove them from the sprue - Be warned, these and the various railings are very, very fragile!
Also fitted. Four escape hatches, ladders, the tower front combing and bits and bobs etc. where the crew stands on lookout.

          Hi Ron
Camo looks very good. Your 3 well worn brushes have not let you down.

Thanks boys. I appreciate all your positive comments.

453 Race (Dead horse and donkey buyer)....(Ret.) - I'm glad I was able to heduficate you in the workings of a snorkel!

Sorry Rick, but I have to keep the boat something like......

Guns removed and all the safety rails fixed. The fit was spot on but the rails were extremely fragile. I filed and scraped them down a bit too, as initially they looked a bit thick in section.

I've also added the two lifebelts, the final set of ladder rungs, grab rails and painted the bridge.

Thanks Ian. I hope you haven't put yours back in the loft! It would be great to see a VIIC Type colour scheme. Not like my effort, but a correct one!....:thumb2:

A small update. I've painted the rails etc. to blend in with the conning tower camo.
