Hi guys. Bit early I know, but does anyone know when the Cosford show is on this year? I've had a look at the website and I couldn't find any mention of it.

Hi Christopher, it’s in the RAF museum at RAF Cosford. It’s a great show loads of stalls and sellers. There used to be a competition but that stopped a couple of years ago. Free entry just £4 parking all day. Well worth going if you can make it. There are quite a few of the forum members that turn up meet under the Vulcan wing in hanger 2 ( well I think it’s No2 ).Comment

It's at the RAF Museum Cosford - between Wolverhampton and Telford - and it's the show of choice for the 'Cosford Massive'. That's the motley gang that meets up there every year for a gossip, bargain hunt and, of course, the Tunnocks and Eccles cakes! As well as the model displays there are dealers and 'under the club table' bargains galore, with the added bonus that you get to tour the RAF Museum at the same time.
Entry is free although there is a charge for parking. I think it was about £3.00 last year for all day so not expensive.
This is the link to the Museum website:
Discover aviation history at RAF Museum Midlands in Cosford! See iconic aircrafts, enjoy free entry, interactive exhibits & family fun. Book today!
I'd highly recommend a visit.Comment

You youngsters got no staying power! As an ex lorry driver (only little lorries!), my boss would consider a single drop to Norfolk and back as a 'local' delivery!Comment

If you're thinking of going to this show you might consider making a few days of it, as there are other things to see in the area. Search Google accordingly -
I've been to the aircraft museum on its own a few times; it's quite extensive, and well worth seeing
I've also been to the model show there, which is equally big. It's different from the usual shows as it is not held in large exhibition halls, but rather spread out around the museum exhibits
Nearby is Ironbridge Gorge, the birthplace of the industrial revolution in the 18 th century. There are several museums plus the Iron Bridge itself of course
The Black Country Living Museum, Dudley. This is one of those recreated historic villages & collections, similar to the better known Beamish, and IMO just as good
The Walsall Leather Museum. Only really of interest if you do leatherwork, but nevertheless it's excellent for what it is
Search Google for Telford Tourist Attractions; there are various museums, historic houses, a steam railway and so on
The surrounding area is typically pleasant English countryside, with rolling hills, patchwork fields, pretty villages, you get the ideaComment
