Afternoon all,
Yesterday we got back from the 3 day show (1st-3rd) in Veldhoven, Holland. This show was cancelled for 2 years and could finally happen last weekend. The expo had a competition, but I didn't finish my project in time to enter it. The original WME was founded by the late Shep Paine and others, years ago and the tradition has carried on. It is held every 2 years in a different location around the world.....
Anyway, it was a fantastic show with tons of vendors and goodies for sale. One could very easily go home broke and not know it. I have taken over 300 pics of it and will need some time to sort and post them in the proper category. On Sunday, we went to the war museum Overloon and took in all that was there. I also have over 300 pics to sort and post under the reference category, but that will take a bit of time too.....
I will just say that the show and the museum are totally fantastic and well worth the trip. I don't know where the WME show will be in 2 years, but the museum is always there in Overloon. The Scale Model Challenge will happen next year in Veldhoven and the dates are 13-14 October, 2023. FernandoN might also post up pics as he took a ton of them too. The 3rd member of our group, Anton from Bamberg, is not here on the forum, but may join soon and is a great modeler to boot.
Enough blah blah for now. If you really want to go to a super show, then the SMC next year is one for you. Then spend an extra day and visit the museum. It's only around 54 kms from Eindhoven, Holland........
