Appreciate the issues Andrew, luckily for me it's not too far. I've a diesel and manage 38 mpg on a long run . Only go to the shows near by so St Ives is the furthest. Do hope you can manage it .Comment

Fortunately I've been known to get up to 70mpg out of my diesel on a long run, which will help a lot!Comment

Well Guys, you know I would go in a heartbeat, but it is a bit too far for my old ass bicycle to handle. I would have had to leave last week to make it in time (with lotsa luck)!!! Oh, BTW, my bicycle gets about 50 kms per liter of beer. Not too shabby really...........
Prost

Looking forward to seeing you this weekend.
I have to drop my daughter off at work on Sunday morning and she's still waiting to find out what shift she's on but even on the latest start I should be with your shortly before midday. I may have to leave around 3-3:30 to get back in time to pick up her up.
Most importantly though Junior will be gracing us all with his presence!!!
See you Sunday.
ATB.

Hi, the show was well attended again but numbers were down on last year, possibly due to recent events. Various clubs and suppliers were there and I managed to pick up a bargain, more on that later. Met up with John Race and Ben (Yambam) and his better half Katie. Also met Andrew (adt70hk) and junior who is very camera shy. Looking at the pictures I really need to go on a diet lol.
L to R yours truly Andrew, Junior, John, Ben and Katie.
Next are a few photos of some of the various clubs, my apologies but I am no David Baily.
But for me and most of the visitors this was the star of the show. Completely scratch built over 3 years it was rightly awarded best in show at the nationals. the war horse one of the figures is based on the modeller. It really does need to be seen to be believed the level of skill involved.
Thanks to all who came. It was good to meet up with some old friends and meet up with Andrew for the first time. Roll on next year.
cheers

Hi Scottie, Looks like you had a great time at the show.....thanks so much for posting up the pics. I do miss the excitement of getting out and talking to like minded modelers and seeing other people's efforts on display. "Handsome" looking group shot, glad you were able to meet up with the "gang"........I understand it was quite a distance for Andrew and Junior to travel good to see they made the trip OK. Thanks again for sharing the pics. :thumb2: :thumb2:Comment
