Thanks for the photo Pete. I'd just like to point out there's a couple of bodies missing - which is of course why the group's appearance is not up to it's usual standard with the two best looking guys missing! Me an' PJ were despatched to the cafe to beg, borrow, steal or otherwise obtain a table.
An excellent day was had although the group was split into smaller lots than usual. Not my fault this time though as me, PJ an' Ron spent all day wandering about tryin' to find an early T-54/55 for Ron and scratching about for kits for the now traditional 'under a fiver' Cosford GB. Alas, he had no luck although sundry bargains were found by all during our meanderings.
I managed to get a couple of big boxes, although I was chuffed to find a box of Warhammer figures with a vehicle for much less than half what it would cost normally. Before anyone gets worried, I haven't gone over to the dark side. I have absolutely no interest in wargaming, it's just that I like Sci-Fi so a box of little green bug-eyed monsters (Ork boyz and their Trukk) was a pleasant find. They are marvelously detailed and well cast figures even if their weapons are totally ludicrous. I'll have fun with those when they get to the top of my 'to do' list.
All in all another good day out, even though I didn't get much chance to speak to everyone there.
PS. Sorry Ron. I checked my stash for that T55 I thought I had. Turns out it's a T62 so no help there I'm afraid.Comment

Thanks boys. I had a great day out. Great to meet up with new folk and put faces to member's 'Handles'
Sorry the group fractured during the day but these things happen. Rummage in a box, turn around and everyone disappears.
Dave, PJ and myself were so engrossed trying to find a T-54/55 that we completely forgot the second meeting under the Vulcan wing, Sorry chaps.
I hope everyone had a good time. Yet again the weather stayed fine and I trust you all got home safe and sound.
I'm the loon on the far left who spent all day trying to keep his jeans hitched up, and as you can probably see, failed miserably!

Great day as always , and great to see some new faces , well done for making the journey , i know it was quite a trip for most of our new attendees. To my eternal shame I forgot the three packets of Tunnocks caramel wafers i had bought , i was nearly tarred and feathered but luckily when the hungry rabble saw the goodies Ron , Dave ,Adrian and Colin had brought my misdemeanor was forgotten about! In the above photo - from left to right-Ron ( spanner570) Ian ( papa 695) Pete Low, Adrian ( ade close enough) Colin ( Colin m)myself ( yak face) Simon T , Jim R , Neil Merryweather , Pete ( stillp) .
As Dave ( gern ) mentioned above he and grandson PJ were absent from the shot as they were staking a claim to two tables in the cafe. I’ll be getting in touch with admin later to get a GB started for the ‘bought at Cosford for under a fiver ‘build. . Once again great to see my old acquaintances and some new faces , cheers tonyComment

Hi I'm behind Ian (who is in the red shirt) thank to everyone for the very warm welcome when I eventually arrived and as everyone has already said it was good to put a face to the name.
It was a very enjoyable day all round.

Echo what Brad has said :thumb2: nice to see you all
As for looking like you imagine, Jim was spot on, as for Simon, still imagine him as this Time Lord. Ron your very young looking, are you sure you did have a stand in ?:smiling2::smiling2:
Sounds as if you all had a great time .Comment

Nice to meet everyone, although looking at the picture I think I missed saying hello to Ian - apologies
This was the first time in over six years that I had attended any kind of show and I really enjoyed it spite of the 2.5hrs journey to get there.
I managed to get away quite lightly with only the four purchases - thought a lot of the stands had some rather inflated prices but maybe that's just because I am used to internet shopping. Local model shop I previously used having closed down some fifteen or so years ago
Last time I went to Cosford was probably late 1970's with my Dad - it has changed somewhat in the intervening years!
I remember a lot of the planes were just sat outside - the TSR2 especially stuck in my mind. Good to see it now housed in a big shed
Excellent museum and at £5 parking/entry for the day good value
John - sorry to shatter your illusion. Mainly human I'm afraid rather than time lord :smiling2:Comment
