Wow Dude 2, it looks like you had a good time and took some great pics. Thanks for that. It also looks like the weather was on your side. Here, it has rained the whole day and flood warnings are in effect. That Lanc is really sweet and well restored!!!
Cheers dude 1, yes indeed, hope you liked the search light, I think of you and the one you were building many moons ago each time I see one ! Sorry to hear about the rain ! Will PM later .
Excellent day John, cracking photos! Thanks for posting
I was very lucky to see the bbmf lanc when she was at st athan for a major refit. I was allowed on my own to go all over including the cockpit, turrets etc, fantastic day
Your welcome Bob , wow that was lucky having a self tour !
John .
Fantastic shots John!
does this mean you'll be leaving Russia any time soon..........?
No not at all Neil, since I came back to modelling I've wanted to go to the museums out side Moscow and several others. They have some great exhibits scattered all over the place in the old federation.

You can always spot the modellers at any aircraft museum - they're the ones who photograph all the little details!
Pete
:smiling2: your right , think my mate thought I was slightly obsessive with photographing the oddest things ! I had to explain to him we liked the minute details of things like catches, screw heads , bits of wiring anything that can't be seen :smiling2::smiling::nerd:
John .
Great pictures and thanks for taking time to post them all. I've seen NX611 only the once at a 'Three' Lancaster event some years ago. It certainly is a place I must return to sometime soon.
Thanks for sharing mate. Looks like you had a great day out.
Thanks Steve, a great day indeed ..

Your welcome Colin. It's a pity it can't fly.
Thanks guys .
John .
Brilliant pics john , and it looks like you had a great day out. Maybe the single gun is a Molins 6 pounder anti tank , as installed in the Mosquito xviii “tsetse”?

Well Tony, we asked a fitter and he said an anti aircraft weapon. ! I thought with one barrel, ! It did look slightly like one in the plane , but the one in the plane I could only see from underneath. The thing about the gun itself was the barrel could be quickly changed, as there was a metal bar holding it in with a quick release pin. That seemed very strange .
Your idea seems more likely to me .Thanks for commenting.
Chris I can see all the ones I posted , have you seen them since your post ?
