    Telford 2015 Meeting times!!!

Forgive me for yet another Telford post but I thought it best to try and set some times and locations for people to ponder on.

I'm lucky to be there both days so should be able to meet up with anyone wishing to

Here's the link for the show layout to make it easier to find each other

    http://www.smwshow.com/showguide.php

In the past we have met in various places, with various results and missed people.

Might I suggest we meet in either the Ludlow suite or the catering area in Hall 3 at say midday?. Please let me know what you prefer or think

Hopefully we can get a large group of us for a forum picture

Either will do for me Adrian. Will I need to wear a carnation in my buttonhole or shall we rely on the Avatar pics for recognition?

Please don't revive the original suggestion of buckets over our heads in line with our policy of including a bucket in a dio build! We discussed that in some depth some years ago when setting up the 'Cosford Massive' and we decided it would not work.

Right so Ludlow suite midday both days to cater for either day

I'll be there Friday afternoon setting up in hall three as well, though it looks lie they are clamping down on people wandering around on the Friday from what I read on the site

Those were the days Ron! I remember my feeling of relief when I found I wouldn't need one. My painting skills weren't good back then (not much better now unfortunately!) and I was afraid I'd embarrass myself with crudely painted letters on my bucket.

PS The invitation's still open for tomorrow if you're interested.

Thanks Dave, but it's too hectic for me......Cosford is just right.

Enjoy your day everyone, and Dave, bring back some big boxes!

Just the two this year. Lots of kits I saw were way overpriced compared to ebay prices - even allowing for postage. I'll have to wait 'til Cosford for my next big haul.

it is getting a lot harder to find a good bargain at most shows now. the traders need to get their heads together, i purchased a kit from one trader at £18.49, saw it on sale for £22, £25, and even £34 at other stalls. noticed it with lots of other kits as well.

I agree the prices of the kits at Telford this year seemed on the high side hence I didn't buy as many as I normally do but after my six hour rummage I walked away with a few but mainly from the kit swap room. Finding a good bargain as you say is starting to become a game of patience and extensive browsing. But I also feel for the traders as I know they have to pay an extortionate price for floor space at these events. Perhaps the venues who host these shows should review there charges

Maybe we've just been spoiled by the bargains available from the club tables at other shows? They're not allowed to sell at Telford due to insurance issues someone here said. I'm not sure that's the real reason - maybe the dealers pay more because there's no competition other than themselves and therefore the venue gets more income?

Adrian you are a wiley one, it was a the phantom. the IPMS get 10% of the sales from kit-swap to go towards the cost of table hire and extra staff from the international centre, don't have a clue about the insurance side of things
