Newark Expo ,Southwell racecourse Sunday October 9th

Hi all its that time of year again ,The Newark and Lincoln model clubs annual show is coming up soon. The Newark expo is held under the grandstand at Southwell racecourse ( Occupation Lane, Rolleston NG25 0TS, United Kingdom ) Its a great show with free entry and parking , a bar and snack bar and somewhere to sit down and rest your feet .There are the usual club displays (plenty of bargains under the tables!!) and plenty of traders such as Little cars , etc  Theres also an open competition only costing £1 per entry with all different categories . I'll be going along with Ian (papa695) and usually Ben (Yambam26) and his girlfriend Katie attend and hopefully a few others .If youre interested in going or need any more details let us know on this thread . cheers tony

Four more days till Newark , any more members fancy coming? So far theres five of us , we usually meet up in the seating area near the main doors at about 12 o clock , if any one else is considering attending I would highly recommend it . Free entry , free parking ,snack bar , club stands ,traders  and best of all the bargains under the club tables!! let us know if youre coming , cheers tony

Wish I could make it. I used to live about 45 mins from there. Now live in Norfolk and I am busy this weekend. > Typical. Does anyone know if there are any shows on in Norfolk particularly around the Swaffham area?

Just to let you know there has been words said that there maybe a charge this time due to venue costs, Can't see it being anything much plus Its a great show so worth going whatever

Just seen on the web ( britmodeller actually)  like Ben said there is a charge this year £2 i think. Also , the level crossings at rolleston and fiskerton are closed ,meaning the only way into the racecourse is from Southwell , via the mile long racecourse road so anyone whos coming please bear this in mind , see you tomorrow cheers tony
