Zoe. Sorry Pete, I often forget to introduce her! :smiling4:

Well we managed to miss the midday rendezvous as we were stood near the wrong seating area I think (up near the judging room) but bumped into Tony, Ian & Pete whilst rummaging through one of the stalls. Was good to meet you guys. I bailed early as I started to feel a bit rough but came away with 3 random kits. I was hoping to find an S-65 tractor but there were so many kits to look through I became a bit snow blind!

Was a good introduction to the world of shows and next time I'll take Pete's tip of getting there early to grab the best bargains.

They weren't that random Andy, Zoe was picking them out for you like a good 'un.

I'm the same, there's so much packed together on some of the stalls I just can't pick out individual kits. I usually just look through the bargains underneath the club tables, unless I'm looking for something specific, when I just ask the stallholder.

Bit late with this as ive been late home so far thus week . It was a great show as usual , met up with the regulars( ian , ben and katie , pete ) and a couple of new faces ( paul and andy and zoe) . Good to see everyone . Some great models on show and plenty of bargains to be had and although I told myself i was mainly going for supplies ( paints mainly) , still ended up buying four kits! Myself , Ian and Ben had a few entries in the competition with a modicum of success- no placings but two highly commendeds against some fairly strong competition so we were happy . Heres the four kits i got - the revell 1/144 hawkeye was £5 ( bargain!) , the AMT 1/48 A20g Havoc was £8 ( again bargain especially as it included masks and half an aftermarket decal sheet)
The eduard La5 was £15 , this is the profipack special edition with pre painted PE , an unpainted PE , masks and a pair of Brassin resin wheels . The kit itself is the excellent zvezda tooling. Finally the zvezda il 86 airliner which came with resin fans and photo etch fret was £10 , the decals have yellowed a bit though so maybe ill have to get some aftermarket ones. Nice haul Tony. I was tempted by that Havoc, but I've already got a Boston in the stash.
