KitBase - database for tracking your kits

Thanks to John for allowing me to post.

I have developed a Windows application for tracking kits and accessories. The application features interactive sorting and filtering, an image gallery function, wish list and recording of sold/traded kits.

A free trial is available. The trial allows recording of all your kits and is not time limited. Some advanced features are not available in the trial.

More information about KitBase can be found here:

Suisoft Limited - KitBase - scale model database

You can download the free trial from:

Suisoft Limited - KitBase - Download

I'm always looking for feedback and suggestions.

Hi Gary, I didn't realise this had been posted on here.

Have to say guys that I am a great fan of KitBase. I know that recording your stash isn't always the first thing on your mind but having played with the free trial on this, I quickly bought it to get the full features. I am using it to not only keep track of what I have, frighteningly too much, but mainly to be able to track the aftermarket stuff that I have for the various kits.

Mainly though I am using it at the moment to plan future builds and purchases using the wanted feature.

My current IDF project is quite long term and most of the builds will involve a basic kit with resin conversions. Now I am no expert so I rely on info I find when trawling the net as to kits that have been built and converted. KitBase allows me to record these kits and the relevant aftermarket stuff that I will need for them and be able to print a report showing these or export them as a spreadsheet or pdf file to my Mac and Android devises. This has already been a great tool in planning what future stuff I want enabling me to find sources for the aftermarket and build a list of the kits I need to ask John if he can get for me.

Having a file on my phone or Galaxy Tab will be a boon at shows to where you often see obscure resin and metal parts with just a model name and reference number. As these are included in the data stored in KitBase, I know that I can check to see if any bargain will actually be the right piece for me.

Not everyones cup of tea I accept but you can download the trial and give it a serious look at for doing loads of things other than a simple list of kits.
