    Tamiya's 1:32 Mosquito Price !!!!

    TAMIYA

    We had an extremely positive time with Tamiya in Japan – first off they are delighted with our sales performance and the efforts we put behind promoting the brand via Ant’s exposure, Colin’s events and the exposure we secure in the modelling magazines.

    They also announced the Mosquito – this is an awesome model and really takes 1/32 aircraft modelling to a new level of detail and realism. It contains more than 1000 parts and has the most intricately detailed canopy par...its sprue that I have ever seen for an aircraft kit !

    Marcus Nichols – editor of Tamiya Model Magazine – has reviewed the HK Models 1/32 Mosquito which is due out soon and says that it is like comparing a Ford Fiesta with a Ferrari ! The Tamiya one really is a step ahead of everything…ever !

    We are pleased to confirm that the price will be £159.99 – which is similar to the HK Models version. Also the UK version will have additional clear parts for the engine covers meaning modellers get more value buying from our UK dealers.

    Additionally and very importantly Tamiya have now formulated and announced a global strategy covering 3 areas which is implemented with immediate effect;

    1/ Price differential between export and Japanese Domestic prices [includes HK] are increased.

    2/ new items to be delivered to Export markets [excl HK] 2-3 months in advance [includes Mosquito]

    3/ any Japanese wholesaler known to supply a Japanese web exporter [eg HLJ] will have deliveries stopped. [retailers and web customers are supplied by wholesalers in Japan - not direct from Tamiya]

    We are additionally addressing the issue of grey importers from outside the EEC who sell on ebay.co.uk by way of lawyers as these customers are infringing our recently issued licence of the Tamiya trade mark

      That's about where I had guessed it would be. If you consider their über Spitfires go at between £110 - £130, it's not a bad price really.

      I might be tempted.
