    HMS Victory , Portsmouth Dockyard

    Hello I had a long vacation and when I came back I took another visit to Dockyards to see Victory before continuing my work on my model.


    So , tel me : what is wrong with this pictures?

      It seems at the beginning of this year, working on the ship they found a layer of a color. The tests put that color on the same date with the battle of Trafalgar. All the sience people was agreed: this is the color HMS Victory was wearing at Trafalgar. This was the color ora the brithish fleet. So, at 30/07/2015 they started to bring Victory at the Trafalgar look!

        So we are looking at it being blue and cream......???.......... Not the yellow and black that everyone seems to use........ Whoops

                When you get up to it though it's like a tan colour not yellow but now it's cream , has anyone thought to tell them that the colour it was thought to be might of faded !!!


                If the historians thought it was yellow how did they get it wrong ?

                    When HMS Victory was Commissioned, I believe she was Red.

                      In 1900 was black and white like the collor adopted by Royal Navy in 1834.
