Good looking tank - another complete interior - just how do you display this??????
    Dave
Displayed as shown I am guessing. Crew compartment top clear with removable outer 'skin'. only a guess but I think it would work.

Oh that Jagdpanther! I passed it several times a day when I worked at the IWM (on the way to the nearest toilets).

Revell made a 1/35 version in 2012, but I would suspect that was of a prototype - this is more likely the production version

The Revell version didn’t have the extra armour package, so if nothing else that would be a reason to build this one if Pumas are your field of interest.

Spoilers, or genuinely two makers coming up with the same model?

Could be market research by both that shows people are interested in this vehicle, so they both decided to make a kit.

Just my thoughts but It may be simply down to cost, just as car manufacturers share tooling and design costs on engines perhaps they share the costs on tooling and research.

You could have a good point there Paul, this coincidence is far from a 'one-off'. Supposedly rival manufacturers are constantly producing versions of the same kit. Good news is that it gives us a choice and, theoretically at least, the competition between manufacturers helps with improving quality. Bad news though is that it restricts the number of new subjects.

Like a lot of folks, I've complained about the release of yet another Tiger/Bf109/F16 or whatever, but if you look at the range of subjects available now we've never had so much choice, so I guess the manufacturers are really doing a pretty good job.

100% agreed. It’s really a case of modellers being spoiled a bit, I think — there are now kits of things that twenty, thirty years ago nobody would ever have expected to see as a plastic kit, yet what happens? People complain that <favourite obscure subject> hasn’t been released yet.
