On the Zvezda Facebook page Yak-Ib in 1/48 will be released in the New Year
This is a rebox of the Accurate Miniatures Model, so it has some pedigree!
Zvezda state this - wish more makers were so open!

Nope, John - Border Model seem to be a company that made tools, but are now branching out into models - this seems to be their first issue - only available through Mig ( at the moment )

After the 1/32 HK Lancaster, now, the 1/32 B-24J Liberator from HobbyBoss * 1/32 Liberator *
That, in an all metal finish will look, ummmm - IMPRESSIVE!

There has been a massive discussion on LSP about the B24 and it has qute a few major faults with it. The main two being the wrong shaped wing (Davis wing) and the fact the turrets have a seam in the middle of them and are frosted!
There are a few build threads regarding the HK Lanc and the new HB B24
Weren't there some delivered w/that wing design (maybe not Js)? PaulE
As i am in no way an expert on the B24 i'll let the people who are (or at least know about it a lot more than me) describe the problems with it. The thread can be found here
I've spent a bit of time going over Jeff Verswyvel's in-box video review of the this kit over on Hyperscale as well as some additional closeup photos Jeff was kind enough to send my way, and have the following observations. If you read the LSP thread carefully it says
"Please note that these comments are based upon what I could determine from photos - not handling the plastic - and thus may be open to further discussion"
I'd wait until someone actually makes one, and doesn't judge from pictures, taken by a third party!
It's also educational to see how that forum members indulge in taking offence at comment! If you wade through all 33 pages, then there doesn't seem to be a lot that is agreed on!

If you read the thread carefully (page 15 onwards) then it will tell you all about it from the people that do actually have the kit in their hands.... and posted pics of it to prove it
Ah yes, but you will see a comment that no-one is actually building/or blogging the B-24 on that site, which seems odd ( or the Lancaster either ). I'm not familiar with that site, maybe it is mainly a talk forum?
Dave
The site is dedicated to LSP kits (1/32 and 1/35 and over). You can build smaller kits and that goes in the non-LSP section. There is a lot of talk on there (probably because the kits take longer to build than smaller kits) but also there is a lot of builds too. Some stunning works of art are being built imho. Each to their own at the end of the day. I like to gather info for builds from wherever i can. There are some amazing people on there just like there are on here.
Alan,
I suppose that the larger scale models are more expensive, as well, so it's unreasonable to expect the same volume of builds as here!
I might be joining the larger scale builders, if my fingers lose any more dexterity! Not sure how I'd display the bigger models, though
