Wingnut Wings
- apparently announced at a Japan Model show.
A Dambuster version too.... plus in 2019 other marks to come.
It clearly ties in with Peter Jackson (owner of Wingnut and the director of LOTR) having the rights to a Dambusters film re-make, but nevertheless what a surprise.
Two 1/32 Lancs being release within weeks of each other.
A few years ago I could not imagine a WW2 4 engined 'heavy' in 1/32 scale at all, people would have laughed at anyone suggesting it, now look what we have:
From HKM, two B17 versions and with a Lancaster being released in a month or so's time.
From Hobbyboss two B24 versions about to be released
From Wingnut Wings two Lancaster versions one this year and another next.
That is amazing and it must be a Halifax from one of them next, then what a Sunderland.... maybe.
What is particularly welcome is Wingnut Wings getting into WW2 1/32 scale aircraft, yet another high quality manufacturer producing WW2 kits in the 'grown up' scale can only be a good thing.
At first I thought the Wingnut Wings Lanc would be a collaberation with HKM but apparently not....
Wow, what a great time to be a modeller of 1/32 aircraft.
Has anyone got an aircraft hanger going spare as I think I will need a new hobby space?
