...and far lower than the chance of DVT from a long haul flight. I’ve had my first and can’t wait for my second. The clot risk is vanishingly small. Concerns are being driven by vaccine nationalism and in the AZ case, by the fact that it’s being sold at cost, in my opinion. From significant experience in my professional life I can state that neither the MHRA or the FDA would pass these for use if there was any appreciable risk. Despite widespread paranoia to the contrary these organisations are apolitical and not open to political pressure.
The risk of clots from the vaccine is less than one-two thousandth of the risk from the virus Jim.

Thanks for the encouraging words guys, plus my doc says since I'm already on blood thinners my risk for clots is even less, but I've always been an incurable cynic
and consummate worry wart. My wife's 91 year old Mum got two shots and she is just fine :smiling6::worried:
I live a very isolated existence, from population at large and only scoot from one mountain top to another at times to help my boys asses woodlots, clearing and the like and to be a Royal pain.
They have to haul my ATV when I go along as I can only walk a few yards before becoming short of breath, this from a man who only a few short years ago could climb and top 150ft trees.
I assure the missus I'm fine with my two strong knights in shining armor, but she still is not happy when I go anywhere.
So I just don't know...... I've had many times dodged the old "Reaper" from everything from falling missiles to falling trees to once actually flipping a bulldozer
over into a pond from which I narrowly escaped and was only pissed at what I knew it would take and cost to get it out
Keep on truckin' Jim, just fall apart gracefully and without any fuss - I do!
Re. this covid thingy, I have now had both my jabs. the last one three weeks ago.
I fought tooth and nail with my missus not have it done. Given a choice, I'd decide what enters my body! :flushed:
It was only when I started to think that I might need to have the jab ( and proof) to be able to go to campsites etc., that I reluctantly complied with my wife's pleading.
No ill effects apart from a sore arm each time.......Just what the swill is doing in my body, I don't know - Anymore than the so called experts!
I'm off now to spend a few days in Snowdonia. I think I'll walk up Snowdon backwards in just my socks. No, the vaccination has had no side effects on me, mate!
Yours.
Edmond Hillary along with my mate Sherpa Tenzing Norgay.
