The big question, Barry, is is that new model room of yours big enough? :rolling:

Why resist it….if you want it, and you can afford it, go for it. It will probably be a once in a lifetime build experience.

Just done the maths on that....approx 97cm X 66cm (in old money, 38.2" X 26").... Not small.....and as Tim said, probably a once in a lifetime build experience...... If you can afford it and have the room, why not?

I don’t think they are saying limited run as such but that it won’t be released very regularly. They will want to make the most out of those magnificent moulds after all.

                  Ah, shall I, won’t I, what will I do with it once it’s built?…….

I will have to decide soon and get a pre-order in if I want one…..

Barry, forgive me but... get it!... and this is an absolutely hideous selfish suggestion :flushed: :smiling4:as that kit is definitely out of my comfort, and even out my most uncomfortable, zone.
Following your build would be a pleasant transfert :smiling4: for me :tongue-out3:.
In Italy we have a popular say about this kind of suggestions but a true translation would attract the wrath of the moderators :flushed:. In printable words we say that someone is trying to do what would be unpleasant to him using someone else's delicate anatomical parts.:smiling4:
Joking apart, I'm pretty sure your Lanc would be great.
What to do with it once it's built?... Those are marginal problems; the pleasure is in building them!... as would say any modeller without a 1:32 completed Lancaster kit on his bench:rolling:.

$400 upwards? Pfft. No 1:32 kit is worth that much.

I'm sure we have a 'Spots on the Internet' thread for this type of thing?

I have to disagree. Mind you I did think £100 was too much for a kit once, then I built the Tamiya 1/32 P51. Personally I am hoping that it really is ‘only’ about $400 as it is a lot of very high quality plastic.

I would say that it is four times the build value of a single engine single seat fighter, so cost is probably in the right ballpark. Not something I’d buy, but I understand those that would.
