Book: Tanks at Westkapelle

    Out since this morning:

A 64-page book about the tanks and, to a lesser degree, other military vehicles used on the island of Walcheren, the Netherlands in 1944. As the title indicates, the primary focus is on the tanks that landed at, and were left behind in, the village of Westkapelle. Illustrated with tons of photographs, including a good number that have never been published before.

Available in Dutch and English for €9.99 plus postage (international orders welcome), from the Polderhuis museum, or send an e-mail to <info@polderhuiswestkapelle.nl>. All proceeds go to the museum, not into my pocket

It’s certainly always cool to hold a book with your name in the credits. Seeing a pile of 20 or so boxes full of them is even better

Thanks I did keep quiet about it, largely because I don’t like announcing things too soon
