Man haven't these people got anything better to do, I've just spent the last 2 weeks telling E-Bay (Evilbay) that I have not bought a damn thing from thier crazy mixed up site but they still want me to settle the debt to the person who sold the goods, I have know idea wot was bought as they won't tell me under the Australian Privacy Act. So I had a simple two word reply for them "P Off" This was after some idiot got hold of my password and user name how the bugger he/she did that is past me.

If you want to upload a picture you can use "VB Image Host" from the menu bar; the photos are limited in size but it does work, I used it to post the last photo in my SE5a thread. It’s not as good as the original gallery; if it keeps the idiot out it can only be a good thing, but if John can sort the security problems that would be better.

I'm more bothered about loosing the pictures that we have already posted rather than the way forward.

I'm sure John will do his best though to come up with the most secure solution. We don't want any more of these idiots messing us around.

I use CentOS which is a flavour of *nix and the firewall is always turned on but it was quite a simple thing they did to bypass everything

I'm not going to get in to a political discussion with you, but the web server is mine and does not harm any one, the IP might belong to a US company but I know they don't harm anyone either.

What you have done is caused a problem for a group of people that enjoy a common interest and now because of you and people like you we no longer have a gallery to show of our art, I hope that you are happy in your so called "holy war" that you have stopped a group of people that bring no religious meaning to what they do, showing their art.

Howdy John and "Dr." Oaddah aka syria,

First, allow me to thank you John for allowing his post after he claimed responsibilty for being the "hacker". I agree that this is no place for a political arguement, especially by the owner of the site and someone who promotes the need for "respect" by disrespecting others.

I was always taught that respect is earned and can not be "Forced", I was also taught that in order to gain respect from others, you must first respect others........well what can I say, apparently not everyone was raised like me. But I will say that ALL OF THE MEMBERS HERE respect each other and in no way harm others through their enjoyment of this hobby we call modelling.

Now to you "Dr." Oaddah, I was just curious as to your line of thinking, How much "respect" have you actually gained from anyone by hacking websites? I know you have hacked many, I did quite abit of research on you online and found out that in most cases, you have not gained "respect" but actually turned people away from your cause (whatever it may be) and caused nothing but hatred and anger towards you from the people you have disrespected by destroying things they enjoy.

And I would like to say also, without making this a political statement, that in this time of international terrorism and untrust between nations and the various peoples of the world, your actions do nothing but promote further distrust among people who already are biased and mistrustful of people who are different from themselves and cause those people who were willing to trust and accept other cultures to have nothing but a bad first experience and create distain and distrust of other cultures and people.

Now all that being said, I wanted to state that due to your actions, there are approx. 230 photographs of mine that are "gone'. Thats just mine, there are thousands of other peoples photos, representing tens of thousands of hours of time spent uploading them for others enjoyment. I am sure they would like to "thank you" in their own special way.

As for respect, you have no respect from me until such time as you earn it, your cause, whatever it may be is totally irrelevant in this forum....its irrelevant to me in my personal life, i guess what i am saying is, "Until you earn my respect, You will recieve no respect from me...... I have no use for you or your cause and bid you farewell on your journey which I hope will take you far, far away from this forum".

Well said GEEDUBBYA and I agree totally I'm am not into political or religious revolt either and what this guy has done to us and many other sites is what they are on about with nternational terrorism, if the Islamic world think that this is the way to righteouness then they should think again, it only promotes their kind of thought hatered and it ain't cool.

and from my own point of view, we live in a democracy in the Western world not what our mad mullahs tell us what we should do and think (although given the current government here, they are having a damn good try...it only takes a vote to get them out)

Apart from that, why spoil a site which is for the benefit of all no matter where you come from, we are here for one common goal, our love of model-making, thats all this site is about, no other agendas here I'm sorry.

Sorry for the rant, I lost my best friend tonight after being with me for nearly 17 years, seeing her die at the vets was not pleasant!!

to be honest i just cant seem to see how any website can physically harm a country?

some one please point out my stupidity if im wrong.

my condolances as well Mark. me and my girlfriend have a 6month old sproker spaniel that i got her for her birthday, he means the world to us and i couldnt bare to see anything happen. i look forward to many years of love and enjoyment with him.

even if it is just catch and cuddles lol.
