And Resicast appears to be going too

Though it doesn’t say it on their web site, apparently at a model show in Belgium a few months ago, Resicast’s stand had black cards reading “The End” because the proprietor had decided that 2023 would be the last year for the company. Though allegedly, since then he’s had a couple of people interested in taking over the business, so maybe there’s hope …

I think I will be ordering some things from them today as an insurance against them possibly being gone forever soon … (Of course, somebody will announce plastic kits of all of them within a few months )

Yes, I had a warning too, saying the site is blacklisted.

Their Facebook page says they'll be closing:
            Dear customers,
I regret to inform you that after 32 years of activity, RESICAST will be closing on 31st December 2023 for health reasons and retirement age.
This decision hasn’t been easy but it’s time to turn the page.
Indeed, keeping RESICAST up and running all these years has taken a lot of time.
That being said, RESICAST has brought me immense satisfaction and the opportunity to meet many interesting people.
So the term is fast approaching but it's not over yet.
Over the next few months I will be producing some more exciting new things but also will be forced to delete items from the range.
Online shop will be updated based on available items and mold condition!
If, as I said before, Resicast has brought me a lot of satisfaction for 32 years, nothing would have been possible without my friends and you, my loyal customers.
Will RESICAST continue in one form or another? It's impossible to say at the moment. FYI, RESICAST is back and I will gladly respond to any reset requests.
I will be attending a few shows by the end of the year and would love to meet you there.
My very last Open House will be on Saturday, August 26, 2023 and more information will be posted on the website and Facebook page soon.
Resicast would not have been possible without the help of my wife Florence and my model friends Gérard De Troeye, Lionel Delhalle, Christophe Nachtergael, George Moore, Luke Davis, Alex van de Wetering, Léon Hassing (those I forgot I apologize) and all of you my loyal customers.
            Graham

If I'm not to late, can you order the British 6inch howitzer, so I can find a plastic one in a month or three. :tongue-out2:

Sad news but I suspect that a new owner is a big hope. 3D printed is winning ground. Quicker and cleaner with no re casting of moulds every X casts. Easy up/down scaling too.

Once you have the file on the computer, that's it, no age degradation, no accidental damage loss - and repeatiblity at the touch of a button. I'm just hoping for a process breakthrough that does away with all the toxic smelly stuff!

I didn’t order anything yet — the ones I really want are the Terrapin and the M4A4 Sherman DD, both of which are listed as out of stock … but both of which are also models that Graham apparently said will have new moulds made before the company goes under.

I checked the site again today, and the Terrapin now was available, as well as a few other kits I wouldn’t mind owning (the Sherman BARV and a GMC CCKW dump truck conversions) so I ordered all of them … not exactly cheap, but as it might well be the last opportunity, I’m taking my chances that nobody will release a plastic Terrapin or BARV over the next few years
