Life's too busy and complex enough for most of us without worrying about the appearance of a forum. There's no point in getting (more) grey hair over any online platform.

Jakko, maybe sleep on it, log in after the transfer is done and see how you get on after a wee break. You might even like it.

In the meantime there's a mass of styrene out there that needs to be cut, glued and painted.

OK you are not happy with the move, you have grown comfortable with the forum the way it is and because you are likely to lose a few comments you have thrown your dummy out of the pram.
The time for "Oh this is cr4p!!!" comes after the move, or "Boy! this is better than I used to get behind the bike shed with Lucylastic...."
Then is the time to be both democratic and put your comments forward or make the choice to leave.

Appearance wise the two should be almost the same. The biggest difference is the functionality, the tech support and ease of maintenance. John takes care of ALL the technical mumbo backstage so if it makes his life easier . . . I only have limited dabbling backstage, setting up the forums for GB's and front and center Admin. Making sure we all play nice and not running rampage over everything. Hmm I think John has the easy part. :rolling:

Hell's bells Jakko stop getting so upset. When our other forum ended so abruptly we found a new home here and although I had joined before as can be seen , this has been a happy crowd of modelers .
The majority of us have no idea of how a forum works or the amount of time it takes to organise and run .
Where ever we have to go it's ok to me .
Just give John the support , after all if it wasn't for him where would we end up , on some nasty back biting forum !

I completely agree with the vast majority - why should John answer to anyone regarding what he does with his forum?
Not that you need it John, but you are right.
