If there's anything you would like to know about this product I will try to answer it for you. But I will be testing this over the next few builds just to see how it performs

Am I right in thinking this is 'Silly Putty' under another name?

Interested to see the review Ian , personally I'm looking at it from the masking viewpoint - the last few times Ive used white tack it has left a mark on the paint it was on , resulting in a shadow line at the edge of some of the camo colours (on Tamiya acrylic ) , I wonder if this stuff is better ? cheers tony

Having never used or seen Silly Putty Dave I can't really answer that question.

I've got the HE 111 to mask up for the winter camo Tony so will use it for that and should be able to see if it leaves any residue

Ok used this for the first time it comes out of the tin quite hard

But very quickly you can stretch it to any thickness you want

But if you just touch it to itself it instantly sticks to itself

The next few pictures shows you it in use

It feels greasy to the touch but it doesn't leave any marks on the paint work

And the paint on it just seems to fold into it, but I will see over time what effect if any it as on it

Good review Ian. Nice to see members helping each other.

A question Ian. Assuming you have used either blue or white tack how do you rate them against the Panzer ie what are the advantages equally any disadvantages.

Paint creep is one. The other is release from paint film. Not so much enamel but acrylic which is more likely to give problems especially if it is not on a well prepared initial plastic surface.

Interesting Tony. Not had any mark left using White Tack but with Blue tack I have. But I have noticed that Blue Tack marks slowly dissipate ie over night.

Ok I've been using this for a while now on a few builds, and I must say I do like it, it takes a bit to get used to it. At first it's an hard lump in the tin and can take some force to get it out but just use a spoon handle or coffee stirrer and your fine if you pull it hard and fast it just breaks but will stretch if pulled slowly. It becomes very plyable when warm, and it feels greasy but isn't. You can cut it easily to any shape with a knife or scissors. One thing I must tell you is when it touches itself it sticks instantly to itself, so be careful if using it like I did on my HE 111 and it doesn't leave any marks or residue after you take it off, and it pulls off very easily.

If anybody as any questions feel free to ask and I will try to answer them for you
