three new products for me this week, one was a needed item, the airbrush quick connect from Johns shop, cheaper than anywhere else (send money in post john for shameless plugging! Lol)
This is a godsend, and works perfectly to swap between airbrushes, without loss of air. There are some others out there in the market, but theyre more expensive, and have a ball valve, needing manual turning to prevent air loss! Pointless really! This one is east to fit, dosnt leak and works as it should. Nuff said!
Next up is War Gamer valleo size 40 pot rack. Its a laser cut wooden rack, comes on sprues! (Kinda funky!) it fits together very tight, which holds it together nicely for fitting, the MIG ones seem too loose and need a hot glue gun to be able to hold it together. Once its built, its functional, and doesnt grip the bottles tight, so easy in and out. Very pleased as it holds the 40 bottles in a compact holder.
Lastly, Ultimate Modelling sanders, i got the variety pack, with three sanders, giving six different grits.
These are a semi soft sander, with an odd squashed egg shape, so each end is thinner than the middle. The grit lasts really well, and the lightest grit is called a polisher. Ive got the Albion Alloy sander pack from John, and the differences are that the Albion sanders are rigid the UM are soft. The UM ones SEEM to last a little longer, the albion ones loose grit around their edges fairly quick, but seem to work a little better for that first sanding (especially the blue one)
So id say both are good, and work together well.
