Bob seems to have drifted off subject a bit but one question about the snips that hasent been asked is what are they like with gnarly old toe nails can they cope with only a blade on one side. Dave theComment

Enjoy reading the review Bob. There's a lot in the saying " You get what you pay for "
Over the years I've bought many tools , when at work like you buying some "Snap-on " I would buy top quality because I needed reliability.
At first in modelling I had those cheap snips, but eventually went for the Tamiya, certainly hadn't heard of that make you mentioned. Having read a review then I may have well bought those.
My most expensive hand tools were a pair of Zucron pe snips, well worth the expense as they can cut so close. Just a pity I can use most of the PE :smiling2:Comment

Sorry John not doing the school teacher thing on you buddy but did you mean Xuron. Not that I use them but I think their snips are a pretty safe recommendation as well ,long established American hobby tool company model rail etc. DaveComment
