Afternoon, one of my infamous reviews!!

Really like Tamiya extra thin, but the strong smell stinks the house out and more importantly gives me terrible headaches. So with the craze for coloured glues lead to this, bought from the shop. I tend to not use enough glue because I do not want to leave glue marks, so some parts do come off!!



It does smell but no smell in the room or house and yippee no headache!!

Comes with a long thin brush in the lid


It's very thin and the brush holds a lot so takes some getting use to. Used for the first time on KGV. Built up boiler room air intake

You have to take a lot off the brush first and you can see my mistakes lol. The capillary action is excellent and sets nice and quick. Just one light touch and its worked, easy to sand off mistakes when dry.

Very impressed so far and getting better with it. Also comes in blue.

I use the TET, do get some headaches at times but put it down straining my eyes for hours when I should be in bed! May give that a try bob, see if it makes a difference.

Bob i reviewed the mr hobby extra thin black on here some time ago where if I remember it was knocked as being a novelty, gimmicky not much point in that sort of thing ,Ithought it was great at least you could see what was happening when you touched the joint with the brush being able to note where the capillary action took it.
Have just got me a bottle of the red magma excellent stuff I love the brush included in the bottle ,unlike the tet one that unless you screw the lid on each time you'll never reach the stuff left in the bottle always decanting it in to a new one.
I never compared price dont see the point if its something you want and use I dont care no one is asking anybody to use this against their will but I like it as well.
Dont know about sanding off excess thought the whole point was it evaporated off as for the smell never had any probs in that department I thought it was to make you even more chilled out at the bench.
I'm going to grab a bottle of the blue as well once both are half empty im going to mix it and relish the hobby through a purple haze.

Luv the plan for the great colour lol.

I still find the brush holds too much so have started to use a brush from deluxe materials glue, much thinner and smaller, have immediately noticed a big improvement, well for me anyway.

Only downside I have thought about is fitting a ships superstructure, there's a chance of a nice red line between the deck and the superstructure lol

Will see if they do a clear version, really like the product

If it’s thin solvent (like EVA) you can use small nylon paintbrushes as well Bob. You don’t have to stick with the ones in the bottles…..being the cheapskate that I am, I just use fine paint brushes that don’t hold point well enough for detail work any more. The glue doesn’t seem to attack sable or nylon so both are good. Rigger type brushes work well for longer seams as they hold enough glue, but are fine enough not to discharge it everywhere :thumb2:

Like Tim I find older brushes are fine for glue. They go hard but soften again when dipped in the glue. I must admit though that the brush in that red stuff looks very useable.

Have bought a bottle of clear ammo extra thin. Did try a thin paint brush but personally prefer the deluxe materials brush, it's not part of the lid.
