Hi guys. I'm looking for a decent 1/35 scale German sidecar combo for a ww2 diorama. any opinions which is best? Tamiya, Italeri, Zvevda and IBG all do them.

I know it is some time since this question was asked and I apologise for not seeing it and saying something when I started my Tamiya BMW & Sidecar. Only real issue with this kit for accuracy has to be the fact that the back wheel and mudguard are moulded together. May put some off but it still looks good. Creative Models limited (online) is advertising a fairly new, or re boxed I am not sure, BMW in 1/35 with some photo etched parts. Kit number MAS3528F. One thing I have noticed is that on all the kits I have seen, the 'panniers' appear to be metal boxes whereas the Tamiya kit has leather/fabric panniers. -
I don't know which kits are the best but I do know that later in WW2 the panniers were changed from leather to metal-not sure of exactly went the changeover happened though but that's most likely the reason for many kits having metal ones. PatrickComment

Cheers for that Patrick. What a mine of information you are. That places the Tamiya one as an early production so I may have to be careful what I put it with if it ends up on a multi piece diorama setting.Comment

lol Graham, the only reason I knew that is because I have a little 1/35 Tamiya motorbike kit hiding somewhere & it mentions that in the instructions! Funny, the places where you pick little gems of almost useless information!

lol it sometimes helps but less so with Dragon kits-most of the time that's just guesswork!
