    Hello,

I just bought a compressor similar to the one here but w/o the tank. I have a badger brush but the hose doesn't fit the compressor. any suggestions?

edit: I just ordered an adapter. Thanks

I purchased one a few years back, your pic has the single piston model? I have the twin piston, bought at TCP global/airbrush depot for $169.95.No problem thus far, bought this right from the start of this hobby and am very pleased with it, had reservations abouta generic made in china item however I have two mountain bike frames made in china that are high quality...their reputation is improving? thanks for your review:cool2:

For a Badger airbrush you need a 1/4" adapter (eg Expotools BA001)

John I got agood deal from Absolute-Airbrush with the same type of compressor AS189 with two D/Action airbrushes, two braided hoses, three way adapter and an adapter for airbrush connection to hose for the fitting on one of the airbrushes as it has a different connection on the brush. Total price was £104.50 inc £8.00 postage. they also do quick release couplings and the cleaning pot, Jenni and her team gave me an excellent service and the package came very quickly and packed very securely a very impressive supplier. The system works very well for me as I am only a novice at airbrushing I am not really that qualified to make to many comments, but so far so good.

This is thier website Airbrushes | Compressor Kits | Airbrush Accessories | Tattoo Inks | Fabric Inks |UK well worth a look they are ebay shop to.

                Dear Modellers,

I need help. I bought the Air Compressor AS189A but can't figure out how to get the pressure gauge to work. When I lift the Pressure Knob and turn it, as per the instructions, the entire Column turns out and lets the air out. I then followed the advice given above to turn the Knob all way round anti-clockwise, and the entire Pressure Gauge mechanism and spring jumped out - now it's all back together, I don't know what yo do to set the pressure for spraying. The AS189A pumps to full (switch 1 - auto cut-out @ 4bars), and then what do I do to choose my preferred spraying pressure of 25psi..? Thx for all the input.

Sounds like you could have a faulty valve, how long have you had it? Is it still under warranty?

John. Merry Xmas..! I bought this new in August, so yes, I'd dare t say it's still under guarantee, but I now live in Italy (since Oct), I'm a priest on mission here.... So not sure where to turn too..!

                      John,

I just wrote to everythingairbrush.com who sold me this item on the 2nd of July, 2010... here's a better explanation of my "issue"..

Today (Xmas day), I got an Airbrush for Xmas and switched on the Compressor for the FIRST TIME to find that the Pressure Value Regulator does not work properly. When turning the Pressure Knob to select the spray pressure, the entire Valve column turns and allows the air to escape. NB: Lifting the Pressure Knob up, as instructed, has no effect at all - it turns the entire column in the UP or in the DOWN (locked) position. What is supposed to happen when I LIFT the pressure knob... maybe I am doing something wrong...?

                          Hi

Bit of an old post now but I am just adding this as an update.

I also have this compressor and the next model up, the one with the double pump. I have had them for a couple of years now and both have given faultless service so I can highly recomend them. I now see that a four pump version is now available to, this should be powerful enough to power small air tools as well.

A not on SimpletoTrade, I have used them without issue in the past and would recomend them, except they are no longer trading, don't know why but their eBay account is closed as well.
