RAF Battle of Britain Airfield Set 1:76 (A50015)

I recently purchased this diorama set from airfix. I found it was an excellent set with plenty of figures and the spit, Diorama and vehicles were great. I bought it to build my Diorama on the Battle of Britain. The only flaw is it's Bedford QL refueller. It's paint scheme is wrong but it can be fixed by painting the body and everything except for it's wheels Humbrol Raf Blue 96. out of ten I would rate this an 8:10

I to look forward to seeing the result.

May I ask in which way the paint scheme is wrong? What have you based this on? All the photographs I have seen, of the real ones that is, compare very well to the Airfix presentation. So now I am curious.

I have been after Airfix for years to bring these out in 1/48, wonder if they ever will?

If you're curious about the flaws in the set refer to http://www.scale-models.co.uk/dioramas/18146-airfix-flaws-its-dioramas.html I wrote an artical on that.

            I'll build it soon

I guess if the only thing actually wrong is the colour scheme of the Bedford then physically it is fine and a different paint job should sort it out perfectly.

Should I use this in a 1:72 Battle of Britain diorama since this is a 1:76 scale set??

I think it will look okay with the 1:72 aircraft John.
