life color paint

iv been using life color paint for some time now i bought it on a whim to try something new boy was i impressed i solely used it on my Erich Hartman BF-109G 14 iv never used an eaiser paint to clean up or spray from an air brush i then used it on the new tamiya 1/32 spitfire johnie johnson a little mixing was needed since i havent found exact british colors yet all i use is bottled water for thining and clean up the paint almost never has to be thinned but does have to be thickend up a little for brush painting i use there thickner to thicken up for brush painting there is almost no odor to this paint which makes it eaiser to paint indoors it goes on smooth with great covering characterstics and iv never had to use more than 2 coats i definatly reckemend this paintin the past iv allways used testors enamles the transition from enamels to acrylics was 1 hour of test painting before i felt comfortable enough to use it on a long drawn out project

I have to agree they are good paints but for some reason are used very little by people I started stocking them but had very little interest so now I'm selling them off very cheap don't have many left but I won't be getting them in again.

yeah seems to be the same problem here iv been tryin to get the newer club members to check them out i assume with all the new epa laws in California it wont be much longer and well only have acrylics, laquers and enamels will be gone im tryin to stay ahead of those laws and push what were all gonna stuck with in the long run

I have to admit i have never tried these, however iam using the revel acrylics as weel as tamiya and the revell spray and cleans up a dream.

Hi Jason, I agree with your recommendations on the Lifecolor paint, I have used it quite a lot on my American Aircraft models and Tornado ADV. Cheers Derek

I do use quite a mix of brands when it comes to acrylic paint but I have to say that Life Color is by far the nicest to work with. I find it the most consistent paint with really fine pigment.

If I could swap every acrylic paint I had with an equivalent Life color pot I would do!

It's only draw back is that it seems to be a bit less resilient than other brands when on the model and does require a sealing coat sometimes (not such a problem if you're using a varnish or Kleer).
