I can't say I remember it going back years, but I know the new posts button (now 'new topics') would go back quite a way. However, on the old system you could toggle off the 'unread' filter, but I haven't found a way to do that here yet, so once you have viewed a topic it disappears from the list.

What you want can be done through the advanced search function with the correct filters, but it will only go back so far before it gives you a warning about too many results so set the 'from date' maybe a month back.

Now it seems I'm limited to the options of Today; Posts since last visit and my stuff. If I want to have a look at what was posted last week, I can't unless someone has posted on that thread today or since my last visit. I could be missing something though ....
Just scroll down while on the homepage Gern , all the sub forums, are thewre, Aircraft, Dioramas etc, and then the usual sub sections, Under Construction, Completed and so on.

OK. I can find stuff that way, but what if I went on holiday next week? If I reply to any post on the day I come back, then I have to check every individual sub forum for any posts that may have been made before then, because I will only be able to see the same day posts and any made since I last posted?

Also, when I look at today's posts, I can only see the last 13. What if more than that have been posted today?

There must surely be an easier way.

Should have looked closer - my bad! I can get recent posts using new topics! That doesn't help with more ancient stuff, but at least it gives me a chance to keep up with what's happening if I miss a day.

Quite right too Pete! I haven't had any holidays longer than 1 - count it - 1 day in over 40 years! Unless you count one time when I had a driving job. I had to go to Haverfordwest but the items I had to deliver weren't ready until lunchtime. By the time I got to the site, everyone had gone so I had to spend the night in the cab of my pick-up. So technically I was away from home for two days. Does that count as a holiday?

You never know though. If only I could pick the right 6 numbers ....

I've tried to look at some of Steven's posts in his BMP in Aleppo build. The pictures he included as thumbnails remain thumbnail size when I open them. Is there any way to enlarge them?

If they are older pictures then the issue has been covered several times.

In brief, pics posted on the old software haven't transferred correctly. It's being dealt with, but will take time.

I don't know, maybe I'm a moron, how the heck do I pull up a full image pic on any thread?
I won't even think of trying to post a new thread, if I can. Haven't gotten past not being able to pull a full image.
                  Confused and disappointed.

Have mercy, am not computer literate,

                  Jim.

Hi Jim, I'm not sure what you mean by pulling an image.

Most of the older topics only have thumbnail sized pictures at the moment, it's something that's being worked on, but there's no way to see them full size yet.

If you mean adding your own pictures, John has done a few how-to articles, including this one:

In the quick reply box if you click the paperclip to the top right you will get the option to upload an image. to keep the forum loading fast avoid using full

You are automaticly subscribed to your own threads and clicking the "subscribed" button in that list should unsubscribe you... Keep an eye on any cats close to the keyboard lol

Hi hive mind. I am experiencing issues when trying to load pictures. I’m getting an error message after selecting the picture size insert command? Tried one above and it wouldn’t load. Image is a JPEG so is an acceptable format. Error message says “please upload at least one photo” but I can see the uploaded image in the post??? Anyone know what’s going on?

I think that comes if you hit the "camera" symbol button. I've not had it since someone taught me to go straight for the 'Upload Attachment' option instead.
