It has been the fashion for the last year or so to display text on web pages in light grey against a white background. My new Windows 7 machine came with a fairly ordinary monitor but I now have a very clear sharp replacement. Both show the grey text as so faint it is not easy to read. Here is an example taken from the Forum's opening page:

As can be seen, the "Yesterday at 11:38 AM" is really faint by any standards. Might I suggest that the entire line there (and wherever grey text appears anywhere on the forum) is shown in the conventional black used in printing since Gutenburg invented movable type in the Middle Ages.

I have shown the grey text above at roughly the same font size but in black. I'm all for fashion but what is wrong with black I ask? (My eyesight is very good.)
What do others think?
