Thank you Ian , I will look for it. Don't mean to be a P in the A, it is just that I thought it was a very convenient way of knowing if one had acknowledged another's post without having to search about. I'm sure things will settle in and that I will become accustomed to the new format. Thank you for your understanding of this old codgers concerns as I really value


having a venue to show my work and to see the excellent work of others as my isolated lifestyle tends to make me feel like a voice in the wilderness (no pun intended)

One thing I would like back is the real name under the Avatar, I am crap at remembering names  :/  Or if not possible then at least a Siginature so the name can be added there.

I agree Graham, I'm awful at remembering names myself and have already used generic terms when commenting on another's post as I did move eyes left to confirm the name but alas it wasn't there and yes I did like the signature feature also as previously stated. Yikes! poor John having to deal with us old knit pickers but the previously informal nature and elementary ease of use of the site has spoiled us a bit I guess. Not to let anyone off the hook though I'm sure every effort (within reason) will be made to satisfy our requests.

The links inside members posts don't work. All I see are the scripts and addresses. I can't click on them to see pictures, or read the "Tutorials". Can you help me?

theres one for staff but not one for us minions  xD

I can't find the option to show it if there is one, but if you need to PM someone just start typing their name in the To: box, it will start to find people, same as using the at sign in a post, @beowulf that will tag someone like this

took some doing but i worked it out


it is there but you have to go looking for it.....there isnt a button to click on


go to Activity


click on Search


click on Member Search (top right)


click on Search Members (bottom right)


use the 'sort by' to filter by name or post count or join date or reputation

what if you want to search for someone so you can then search for their content?.....what if you want to know who is in the top ten post count?.....what if you want to know the last time someone was online?


this came about cos a friend has joined today and he said its strange that there isnt a members list........and i didnt recall seeing one since the upgrade, yet its something i use every now and then on forums for a variet of reasons


theres a very interesting thread on IPC own forum about the subject...........if you want to read the 9 pages of arguing!! lol.....seems IP dosnt think its useful enough any more
