Button Responses (or whatever they are called)

There used to be about 5 buttons at the right of every post: "Agree, Noted" etc. I found these very helpful. The ones I used most were "Agree", "Noted" and "Helpful". "Like" was sometimes useful simply to say that I liked the model, technique etc. This allowed me to easily and quickly tell the poster what my reaction was without putting people to the trouble of reading a reply post, and it gave her/him support with the number of "Agree"s etc. Could we possibly have these back please?

(I know that "Like" is there.)

The only other option are like and dislike, so someone can like what you have said then someone else might remove it because they didn't

Hmm  :| whilst I agree that the extra buttons were useful in their way, could we not look at this as an unexpected improvement?

Without them, if we like a post we have to actually write something. Surely that's better for the OP than just a clicked button? It certainly means more to me if someone takes the time to jot down a few words.

I could not have put it better myself. I recall there was a lot of discussion about these buttons in the past. Some of the most mentioned comments where:

I like them as I dont have to make a written comment to acknowledge something. verses I dont like them as it is always nicer to actually read a comment.

Personally I am a bit mute. Yes they are good for a quick response/acknowledgement, but this is a forum where we come to learn, help and enjoy the posts we send and receive.

I do not miss them at all.

The voices of reason speak the truth.  Yep, write something even if it is Nice! Or I like that!

I did use the buttons on occasion, but I also prefer to write something. I fI like something, I like to specify what it is that I like. For example, "Nice job on the paint on those tracks." Or, "Cripes! With that background that photo looks like real life!"

There was nothing wrong with the buttons to be sure, and it was nice to see that people are reading the posts with the tally.
