Help with site please

Next to the forum titles on the left are circles with what looks like table tenis bats in. Some of mine are shaded out in grey while some are blue.


Can you explaine what these are for please.

I think it denotes you've had a conversation in that forum title Alan if it's blue or unread posts in it.

I think If it is a dark circle you haven't read the topic,  it greys out when you have read it and changes to a star when you have posted on that topic. I hope that is right.

The speech bubbles tell that there are unread messages in the section. Once in a thread, the little blue dot tells that there is a new post. A star is for when you have posted in the thread. If all the posts are read, the blue icons turn grey.
