    Ads on site

    Hi all
Not sure if this is just me, but it only seems to happen in this site....
Does anyone know how to disable the drop down banner ads that have started appearing? If they are helping pay for the site then I’m fine with leaving them up, but if they are optional I’d like to opt out as I’m finding them quite distracting.....
    Cheers
    Tim

There are ads appearing all over the place in the middle of posts as well

They are very annoying but as you say if they are paying for the site then I guess we are stuck with the,

I don't seem to have this problem.
Use Google Chrome - and - Ad Block Plus.
      (Other programs are available).

ABP - is free to download & install alongside/ad-on to the browser you are using.
      Also works with most "tablets".

      HTH,

      Paul.

The current ad's don't cover for the running costs of the forum, Google started something new when it decides where the ads go, I put the code in last night, but because it takes time for them to be active I couldn't do anything else with them, once I work how to stop them showing to logged in people you won't see them, just as before.

Who did you report them to? I’ve not had any emails, they shouldn’t have covered anything.

Thanks, not really, the ads go towards the running cost of the forum.
