    Avatar and profile pic errors.

I have been trying to use my own avatar by linking to an image on my server. The error message I get is:-

Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file.

    This is the avatar http://www.gtmedia.com/blackrat80x80.jpg

    Any ideas anyone.

Download it from your server and upload it from your computer, i tried linking to an image on my own site a while ago and it failed, uploaded from the computer no problems.

Thanks Colin, but I only have my iPad with me, and unfortunately the 'upload from computer' option is disabled.

I've had that problem before when linking to images on other servers. The trick is to untick the "copy to local server" option or whatever the wording is. This stops the forums tring to copy the file over to this forum which is where the error comes from. If you untick that option, it just accepts the URL that points to the other server.

I'm guessing a permission problem, I will look in to it
