    Database errors

It's taken me all day to fix the problems, hopefully it should be fixed now, the problem is caused by people uploading large files, the biggest was 136mb, space isn't unlimited, please try and optimise your pictures before uploading, DO NOT upload videos, use Youtube and link to it, and DO NOT upload zip, rar or any other archive files, if I have to put a limit on file size then i will, but then that causes other people problems that aren't too good with computers and having to resize images.

Thanks John, I basically have two files for images saved in my computer, one original approximately 2743 pixels width and the other reduced to 800 pixels width for this forum. I can reduce further if necessary.

            Cheers,
            Richard

You can block these by their file extension: there’s an option in XenForo (in the admin pages → Options → Attachments) to allow video uploads (just turn it off and nobody can upload videos), and below that is a list of file extensions you want to allow — just delete those you don’t want.

This isn’t foolproof, of course, because people can still upload files you don’t want by changing the extension, but that’s a problem that XenForo’s developers should really address by using more stringent checks on file types than just looking at their extension. For most users, just disallowing certain extensions will block them uploading certain types of file.

I'm aware of this, and videos aren't allowed, but somehow they have still been uploaded, archive file types were allowed but they aren't now.

Still broke, so I've upgraded the server and added another 30GB of space which should fix it

for windows users , a nice simple add on , that allows you to right click on an image file and resize it without opening a picture editor etc

it is called Image Resize and is part of Microsoft PowerToys package

I was wondering why I was still having a problem getting onto the site. Hope the extra 30G clears the way. I don't mind my images deleted in 2018 to save space cos if anyones interested I can just retrive from my files as I've learnt my lesson not to rely on other data banks.

                        Cheers,
                        Richard

Has there been a problem with notification as I'm not getting them as a Email any more, I know I'm not on here much anymore but it would be nice to at least acknowledge them.
                          Pete.

I've finally found out the real issue, there was 58GB of emails queued, I've removed them which has obviously freed lots of space. I can't get in to the admin part of the site, my password manager has saved the wrong password, I've sent Ian M a message asking him to change some setting so I can recover my password, as it's not curently sending emails out.
