Happy New Year John

Hope all is well with you. Just a quick question with regards to the blog feature. Not sure how this can be managed however since posting the first blog, I would like to add further successive blogs but not comments, if you get what I mean. Sorry to be so thick but how can you usually manage blogs? Thanks again for this feature.

Dinosaur here, what is the difference between a blog and the normal 'chat' on the forums? I have looked on your blog Chris and the comments and I'm blowed if I can see any difference!

Yes I do know what you mean, to be honest I would have thought you would be able to do that, I will see if there is an option somewhere, you can edit your post if you move your mouse to the right of the title a pencil will show, click on that, see attachment

Thanks John - Yes, I could always edit the blog and precede the lasted posting with a date or something, but it would be great if you can post more blogs to the same subject. If all else fails, we could move the posting to the forum. Thanks again.

Hi John,

Sorry, did you manage to see if are any further options to post additional blogs? If, not could you transfer the blog to the forum please? It's been a bit more fiddly than the usual posts - especially with picture placements and I don't get to see the chronology. Sorry to be a pain, but thanks in any case.

No I hadn't looked been messing with the gallery all day, I've just looked and there's no real options to do anything with the blog, I can't even move it to the forum, Can you start it as a new thread just edit your blog and paste the contents in to a new thread.

Thanks John, have transferred posts and comments to the "Under Construction" section but do not have permissions to delete the blog. Thanks again.

Hard to explain but the blog feature, though an excellent idea by John, does not have the capabilities to add additional blogs to the same subject matter. It's okay if you wish to do a one off blog or continue to add to the same blog; but then you don't get the history like you do with the forum. Plus the pics are a bit of a nightmare as you have to include them within the post and they jump in anywhere. But please have a go and if you get better joy, then please advise and I will continue the blog. In anycase the blog will continue in "Under Construction". Thanks Patrick.

Ah so maybe the feature is best used by taking pics as you go & then posting it all at once? Kinda like a step-by-step but without any real-time comments or suggestions? Well, I'll give it a go & see what happens! Patrick

hi chris ,personally i think the format of a posting in the under construction is the best way to go.Its always worked fine before,just look at skyraiders p47 thread,each entry is dated with its own relevant pics,plus theres the opportunity for people to add comments along the way.Im a bit (a lot!) like ron in that i dont really understand the difference between a blog and a thread, so maybe im not the best person to advise ,but the normal thread just seems the most logical way (i sound a bit like spock!!) Whichever way you go , i cant wait to see it,its going to be a mighty impressive model. Cheers tony

What you can do is start a thread update is as much as you like then once you are finished paste all your posts in to the blog like I did with this one Scale Models - SE5a Build

that way if people want to read it from start to finish without other comments they can.
