    Forum Access - HELP!!

    I have an access problem.

I clicked a button at the bottom of the page since when I have a very grim message presentation, with tight narrow lines of text, the need to double click any symbol/arrow for an action, no automatic web re-direction and threequarters of a box telling me the webpage cannot be found.

There is an error symbolat the left hand end of the info bar at the bottom of thescreen, which tells of unterminated string constants, whatever they are.

How can I put it right please?

It is making an excellent forum bloody hard work.

    Regards

    Peter

Sorry I've read your post a couple of time but still not sure what the problem is, what buttons are you pressing? Can you post a screen shot of the error?

You haven't selected the 'Mobile' theme have you? That will compress all the stuff on the page and make everything hyperlinks. If so, try clearing all your cookies and cache then restart your browser, that may sort it.

Well spotted. It's in mobile mode.

All I have to do is work out how to clear cookies and the cache with Windows 7!!

        Thanks.

Cleared all the cookies and the cache but no change.

          Is there a next step?

I've changed your default style, try pressing F5 on your keyboard that will force a refresh

Thanks John, I tried that but no change.

I did a system restore last night in the faint hope it would help but to no avail.

Temporary option is to download Firefox and try on that. When I tried it this morning to replicate your problem, I had the normal on Firefox and the mobile on Safari (Mac version) Must admit I panicked a bit as I could see no way of setting it back. However, it returned to normal after deleting cookies and clearing cache which made me thing it was browser stored.

Is there any way of putting the theme option button on the mobile version John?

I will see if I can add it, it used to be there, what version of Firefox are people using? I'm using 3.6 and it has a problem with the quick reply on some threads but not others, but in IE it seems fine.

I have no problems using Safari on the Mac (especially since I found that you have to click Edit twice for it to work.... Doh) No issues with the Mac version of Firefox v 5.0 which does not relate to the PC version.
