Spam comments on gallery pics -what to do

Ive just had a case of spam advertising tagged onto the comments box on some of my gallery pics. It was a classic case of an opportunist spammer, first post ,no details on profile page etc. I banned the user from the site and hopefully thats the end of him but the point is- has anyone else found any spam advertising comments on any of their gallery pics? If so , please report it to us and we'll have a look and see about any action to be taken , plus you can also delete the comments yourself . cheers tony

On the Skyhawk photo in my gallery, someone called 'Cameron 11' left a post advising me on how to put together a bridesmaids outfit!.Very helpful, but I've not been invited to any weddings so can't really use the advice.

Hi Tony, I have a few bits of gibberish from someone called Cameron11 on the following photos

        F15

        Royal Navy Phantom

        MIG29M

        Sukhoi SU-33

How do you delete these 'comments'?

        Thanks Derek

Hi derek , if you scroll across to the very right hand side of the comment , theres the options to either delete, edit or report it , just report them then delete. The report comes through to the moderators who can then take action against the dastardly spammers! cheers tony

I think if you just report it and leave it. If you delete the spam, we won't be able to find it and ban the poster---- just a thought---

I've turned on moderate posts for gallery comments so they won't show up straight away

After looking through a lot of the posts I found loads of spam posts, the only way I could remove them all on mass was to empty the database table, that's removed all comments although it will show on some pictures "x comments" but they aren't there
