what im looking for is a cheap type of a more row bust type of AB,that you are

able to use the cheap acrylic, paints in for spaying bases and big area,,but not like

a full sized one, still in the small to med range

any help would be great thank you all

Have you got a compressor yet Moni ? If not then consider a package of which there are many.

They are all robust in that they will not break if they fall on the floor. If you get a reasonable airbrush which will allow you to obtain spares.

Best when you have chosen to come back here as some one may have the same airbrush and will be able to give their views.

hi Laurie, yes i got a compressor and AB some time, back,

what im after is just AB that you are able to use that cheap paint in , that wont clog the needle,

if im thing right the smaller the size 0.01 is very fine, so some that that can handle the gritty cheap paint

Unfortunately robust & cheap are not always good bedfellows Monica!

I'd look at the cheap Chinese HS 30 AB. Over here its around £15, has a big paint cup & can be bought with a 0.4 needle.

I would be tempted to get a spray gun type for larger areas, they do them that will fit onto a AB compressor hose, that should work better with cheapo paint and coverage will be better than a cheapo AB.

The one I got with my cheap eBay compressor is pretty good for large areas. It's called a BD-132, will take a 0.5 needle, and is available separately on eBay for around £16. It recently got a bit of a rave review in Scale Aviation Modeller (Sept 2014) - described as a 'Mercedes' no less! I used it for a while before I got my H&S, and I can honestly say (mainly down to my rubbish AB skills I'm sure), that I'm finding it difficult to see the difference in the results. There's a video demo here http://www.sampublications.com/sami-news/info_25.html - look for the 'Airbrush Heaven' video.

Edit - just seen your latest reply, Moni - so this might not be as useful as I think!

Hi Doug, just had a look at the link, for over all spraying base coats and top coats on a model itsounds a nice little combo, but for a large base area,

would be a little, slow doing, but thanks for the help,
