    Airbrush trouble

My badger Krome has just started blowing bubbles into the cup and not blowing things out the nozzle. I've stripped and cleaned / soaked the whole thing but I suspect it's the needle bearing.

I've emailed airbrushes uk for a quote to fix but anyone got any other ideas what it could be?

    Thanks

Stuart, bubbles in the cup isn't a blockage. Instead it's a sign that air is backing up into the nozzle.

Check your seals where the nozzle mates with the AB housing & where the nozzle cap sits.

I had a similar problem & applied beeswax to the nozzle threads which cured it. Since then, I've wrapped the threads in some PTFE tape which works just as well.

    Hope this helps

That's initially what I thought, however on the Krome it's a snug fit from the nozzle to the brush, it just sits on the tip as you screw the crown on.... I might try to seal that some way and see what happens. The other thing that made me think needle bearing is that when I was trying it with water, some water escaped into the trigger area

Thanks Patrick, I'm gona cut up some bits of ptfe tape and try it
