This is the one that I bought last year. It has an air tank and adjustable valve for the pressure. It was recommended by other members.

Yup, I have recently bought this model too. The compressor is very good - I've owned compressors before, and this one easily comes up to scratch, and is over £200 cheaper than the one I bought in the late eighties!!! The bundled airbrushes are definitely workable, I found the side-cup model better than the suction one, and it is surprisingly good considering it came free. Do get plenty practice in on bottles etc, and you will soon get decent results from it. Don't jump straight it and spray a model on day two, and ruin it (Guess how I know this? ). Just remember to wrap plenty of the (supplied) PTFE tape around the water trap thread, or it will screw home at a silly angle! Oh yes, and buy a decent size bottle of Airbrush Cleaner and a few rolls of "plenty". Have fun!

I'm now holding out 'till I can buy a booth, but to be honest, A cardboard box will be ok until that arrives.

Given your budget of £40 to £60, I don't think you will see any other offer of a compressor, hose, air brush, airbrush holder for that limit. Subject to finding out what you will actually get from the image (it seems to have four compressors) it might be a good interim buy, but using a very cheap airbrush as a beginner has the potential problem that some of the frustration that everyone starting on airbrushing has, will be contributed by the airbrush itself. You would very soon start saving up for a better airbrush and probably that popular compressor that Saj posted (above) which I also have.

Agree with Steve here, but totally understand how folks will want to spread the cost, and at least this will get you blowing paint around quickly! Then when you upgrade, you'll really appreciate the quality. I just took delivery of a harder & Steenbeck Ultra 2 in 1, £77 with two nozzle/needle combos, and am beginning to think it has to be a contender for the best value entry level A/B, beautifully made, really smooth in operation and an absolute doodle to clean. This was made possible thanks to all the great advice there is on this forum!

thanks guys i have spoken to the wife and she has said to get the one that saj put the link up for and she will try and also get me the booth but couldn't promise anything on the booth

i could always go back to my original idea and build my own booth
