(It also has a max. oxygen concentration beyond which burning will not occur but that's not relevant here).
I actually am aware of the need for oxygen to allow combustion Steve! The container wasn't hermetically sealed as should be apparent from my description. Therefore a sufficient proportion of the enclosed space was comprised of air.

Certainly there was enough oxygen within for the fumes to ignite when a lighted match was thrown into the container!

I am not at home and posting on my iPhone so I cannot provide a photo or links but I use a spray booth that does not require venting to the outside. As I use acrylics I am only concerned to scrub out the particles from the air and the carbon and other filters on my set up do just that. I have two units linked in series to create sufficient space to spray larger 1/32 scale aircraft but in fact just a single unit is enough for most models.

I will post more info next week when I get home with a link to the vendor.

I'm not going to get into the "will a home made one blow your house up discussion" but if I had enough room (or a man cave) I'd make one 100%.

As I am limited for time and space I purchased one off John and it works well for my 1/48 planes, I'd imagine that at 1/32 it would start to get a little cramped.

              Here is what I use.

As mentioned there is an expansion unit available to link two or more together creating a larger spraying area for larger models though a single unit is enough for even most 1/32 aircraft. There is a cheaper version with a less powerful fan I would not recommend. Also as mentioned it does not need venting to the outside so is best used for acrylics. I am very pleased with it.

I went for one of these:

A very competitive price from John, and it ticks all the boxes for me. I won't be building anything huge, and I need something that can be packed away.
