    Clear Lacquer straight onto plastic

    Hi,

I am in the process of a Fujimi 1/24 Civic Type R (EK9)

The shell is white and is to remain white. I would like to try and get away with spraying clear lacquer straight onto it, without paint...

Do I have to be careful in what kind of lacquer I use? If so, what should I be considering?

I would have thought you'd get a better finish painting it first but I could be wrong! How's the EK9 gone together? I'm hopefully finishing my EP3 this weekend.

True. Its more of an experiment than anything. If it looks dodgy, I will paint it.

It has gone together very well, I have found a lot of differences between Tamiya and Fujimi. I think the quality of the Fujimi shell is better than Tamiya. However, I prefer Tamiya as there are a lot more pieces and the chassis is in much greater detail. Is your EP3 a Fujimi? I am doing the EP3 and the DC5 next.... Honda FTW.
