Jeff, with the airbrush, I like soaking it with thinner between sessions and back-feeding it. Back feeding is when you place your finger over the nozzle cap and see the bubbles appear in the jar or cup. It is extremely effective and I highly recommend this cleaning method.

I read somewhere recently that back feeding sends paint back up the AB towards the central seal. I guess that the reason for the warning was that it would make cleaning a bit more difficult because the paint might be forced further back than otherwise. On the other hand, the back fed air comes up into the cup so I don't see why it would be forced backwards towards the seal (unless a very high pressure was used).

          Any comments?

Yes Steve. I do not back feed. But I always with the H & S strip as it is so easy and dip a little chimney sweep brush in Vallejo Brush Cleaner and then send the brush down the tunnel from the back to the nozzle end. Then rinse in running water. Best way of cleaning I have found.

Iwata I do not strip to fiddly and time consuming. Only strip (once so far) if there is a problem.
