    Flow Improver in rinsing cup

Add five drops of Flow Improver to your rinsing water cup - do it now!

I was struggling with adding Flow Improver, Thinner Medium and Retarder to my paint to achieve a smooth, opaque, flowing consistency - essential for detail work, of course.

Generally that meant I was adding too much of everything, causing the paint to fall apart.

YouTuber Vince Venturella suggests adding five drops of Flow improver to your water pot, so every time you rinse your brush you'll be adding a tiny amount of Flow Improver to your paint.

I've just done this and it works incredibly well. I just rinse my brush, work it through a small blob of paint on my wet palette, and I've got a dense, smooth paint to work with. (Thin if necessary).

I've been working on the white piping on this uniform - so much easier!

    Wow, looks great.
But wait, a rinsing pot? is this something else new that I've got to learn all about!
I don't use a rinsing pot, so now assume that I should, or is this just an AB thing?

I just mean the pot of water you rinse your brush in every 30 seconds - this thing!

Sounds like it’s worth a try Paul. I tend to add it to the wet palette and mix it in as I go, but I find it leaches anway into the wet palette water over time.

          Great advice Paul, thank you.

Thanks, I'll give that a go.

I'm already following the advice from one of his older videos and adding a drop of "dish soap" to my water, but will see if this is any better.
